I wanted to thank you all again for an amazing performance today, as well as thank Alexa over at the Old State House of Boston. While this was a great way to get a short introduction to American law it more importantly immersed you guys in an event that is almost always misconstrued. The very title of the event as a massacre we now know speaks to this misrepresentation in history. When you combine the misnomer along with the propaganda piece created by Paul Revere it becomes clear that there was a very strong message being created to manipulate the masses. It goes to show you once again that there are many sides to a story. To become lifelong learners we must investigate for ourselves, dig deeper and deduce our own answers to what we see and hear.
Students afterwards wrote journals describing the events that they saw on March 5, 1770. The lead and co-council posted their opening and closing arguments. Check out their posts below.
