Spoken Word Poetry also known as Slam Poetry, for me, is the newest and truest form of expression today. I teach students to learn to use their voice to make a positive change in the world. To highlight issues that society is afraid to tackle and to show human vulnerability and compassion as signs of strength and confidence not weakness. Check the prezi below for some great Spoken Word.
